1Excludes pediatric (<13 years old) AIDS cases. These numbers do not represent actual cases of persons living with AIDS. Rather, they are point estimates of persons living with AIDS derived by subtracting the estimated cumulative number of deaths in persons with AIDS from the estimated cumulative number of persons with AIDS. Estimated AIDS cases are adjusted for reporting delays and for redistribution of cases initially reported with no identified risk but not for incomplete reporting. Annual estimates are through the most recent year for which reliable estimates are available.
2Includes receipt of blood components or tissue.
3Proportion includes injection drug users and MSM who are injection drug users.
